It is interesting to notice that 90% of small businesses have a presence on Facebook, while some women entrepreneurs still hesitate to create or even use a Twitter profile to market their business.
The popularity of Facebook was evident from the results of a poll we conducted about which social media platform our MACs Women in business subscribers most sought after for our upcoming digital products. Sure, Facebook and Twitter are two entirely different social media platforms and they each have their pros and cons.
Everyone knows that Facebook leads the social media race with 1.6 Billion users; still Twitter is not doing shabbily with 288 million active users, with most of those Twitter users being women; that is an attractive audience that women in business should consider connecting with.

THE PROS AND CONS OF USING TWITTERPROS
To get your business noticed on Twitter, it is important to tweet often throughout the day. A recommendation of between 8-12 times per day. This helps to ensure that your tweets are reaching your followers in their time zone. Similar to some television stations, we have all seen those repeats on Bravo or your favorite channel.
