Could one of the traits of most successful entrepreneurs be their optimism? Our MACsWomen Lunch speaker Ettie Shapiro delivered an engaging, professional and funny presentation! It was intriguing to watch as we unfolded some of the other "ISTS" as well. We discovered that Realists are also Optimists and being slow to congratulate ourselves sometimes for doing a great job, isn’t necessarily about being a pessimist but possibly a perfectionist.
As business owners and in life in general, we can agree that things go in cycles. There is the ebb and flow, the highs and the learning curves (lows) that we all experience. Standing in a place of gratitude is a great way to keep a positive outlook on things at all times. Understanding that we, people, generally follow our thoughts, which affects us feeling a certain way, is key. For example if you were to choose to think on "I am ambitious!!" in this very moment, this could lead to another positive thought; if you are a pessimist, you might need to think it five times while nodding your head in agreement, you could then begin feeling pretty good about yourself by choosing that positive thought, no matter what. Flip that and think "I have no ambition!".... only think it once and don’t nod, :-) I wouldn't want you to staying with that thought too long... but you get my point. Find the blessing in everything. Be grateful and move forward with a focus on your passion. Success is around the corner. My definition of Success is: becoming what you want to be~ Surly, these are my optimistic thoughts. The choice is always yours. Are you a pessimist or an optimist?
