These are the taglines of famous brands like Apple, Cannon, Coca-cola and Energizer respectively and it is a fact that the taglines helped consumers recall the name of the brand and helped increase the brand’s popularity.
Even since the dawn of advertising, tag lines have been proven to contribute in making a company memorable to its market. Sometimes, it is even the tag line that shines and sticks to the buyer’s mind. That makes women entrepreneurs crusaders in search of the ideal tag line that will bring their business into a strategic marketing position. The following tips will guide female entrepreneurs to think of a phrase that could help launch their company or brands to popularity and success.
Think Different. Everybody knows this is Apple’s tag line since the phrase differentiates the company from being generic while exuding positive feelings to the customers. It also defines Apple’s distinctive company principles of thinking out of the box.
Keep it Simple. Taglines of successful companies are often simple, short and concise. Harmonize. A common blunder is the notion that the tagline or the logo that stands out among the rest is what defines a brand. However, your company and your tagline including the real products and services that you offer should have a unity or harmony with each other. So, play with different ideas and concepts to come up with a terrific trademark that harmonizes with your company tagline like Nokia’s ‘Connecting people’, Sharp’s ‘Sharp minds sharp products’, Ebay’s ‘Buy it. Sell it. Love it.’ and many more.
Finally, don’t expect that you can come up with a great business tagline just off-the-cuff. It takes a lot of brainstorming and revisions to settle into your final phrase. Be observant since your magic word might just be around the corner, a phrase you overheard on the subway, or the mumbling of your baby. It could be the distinct greeting of a colleague.
