Any business blog would love more traffic! It’s one of the most important parts of running any type of blog. But sometimes the ways to get this traffic can be elusive and mysterious. How do you get more people to visit your blog and read your posts? Here are 3 simple content tweaks that will increase your blog traffic! Intelligently promote your existing content. It can become easy to constantly promote new content and information on your business blog. However, every article or blog post on your blog is a valuable piece of information and can be used to bring in more traffic. One way to do this is to constantly promote your older content on social media. There will always be a new follower who has not yet seen this evergreen content, and it will be useful to them. One way to do this is to use a plugin, such as Evergreen Post Tweeter, to automatically tweet your archived content based on set criteria. Another excellent way to promote content is to use links to guide readers back to older posts. Natural anchors, such as “Click here” or “Read this” are helpful and basic ways to do this; you can also use keywords as links to related articles. Add an “About Us” section. Your blog’s content, ideally, should be focused on the customer and how your business improves their lives with your services and products. There are a couple exceptions to this rule, and having an “About Us” page is one of them. An “About Us” section allows you to talk about you and your business. It’s the one place in your blog where you can brag a little. Talk about the amazing team you’ve assembled, what your qualifications are, and what makes you better than your competition. This information will help you appear trustworthy to potential customers, which in turn will increase your blog traffic. Proofread your work. Simple mistakes happen. We all know that. But to someone who is reading your blog for the first time, your usage of the wrong “there” is going to seem like negligence, laziness, or stupidity. You don’t want to be perceived by a potential client as lazy or unintelligent. That may be enough for them to take their readership, and their business, elsewhere. If you are too busy or proofreading is not one of your strengths, hire a professional to do it for you. It may seem like a waste of money to have someone proofread your content, but remember you don’t want to appear lazy to potential clients! The better your content is, the more traffic you will have, because people will share content they are impressed with. Proofreading is more important than you think! We have shared what we think to be the 3 best techniques to easily tweak the content on your blog to increase traffic. What simple changes have you used to increase traffic on your business blog?
